After an overview of Stockholm on our first day, we continued to get to know the city from the first hand on the second day.
Passing over Drottninggatan to Norrmalm, visiting the churches of St. John, Engelbrekt and Gustaf Vasa, the city of Stockholm exhibited its diverse architectural styles. Going back to Gamla Stan, our next destination was the Nobel Museum, which resides in the Former Stock Exhange building , together with the Swedish Academy. The Museum is dedicated to the gallery where artifacts donated by Nobel Laureates are showcased. At 4 pm, it was already dark as if it was midnight. We took a walk to the islands of Skeppsholmen, and Djurgården, where Vasa Museum is located. Though we were really exhausted at the end of the day, it was totally worth to see the historical, natural and touristic landmarks of Stockholm. Now it’s time to go back to Finland, with full of memories and travel stories to tell!📝😌 Keep calm and stay tuned at Bossoloji!

Day 1 in Stockholm: After a sleepless night at the Helsinki Airport, which we determined as our temporary residence, we took an early flight to our new destination: the capital and largest city of Sweden!
With more than 2 million inhabitants living in the metropolitan area, the inner city of Stockholm is made up of 14 islands. The city well combines the city life, parks and waterways, which make more than 1/3 of the city area. Today we had a small glimpse of the city of Stockholm, wandering around Södermalm, starting from the Central Station and passing over Gamla Stan (Old Town) where our hostel is located. The weather welcomed us so well, sunny in the afternoon and not so cold in the evening, though the weather report was quite pessimistic about the forecast :D Tomorrow, we will continue our journey in Stockholm: seeing more of Gamla Stan, going to Nobel Museum and living the Stockholm experience at its best. So keep calm and stay tuned at Bossoloji! |
